Freistil 169 is geïnspireerd op het idee van een oriëntaalse kiosk, een open paviljoen in parken en paleizen met royale zitjes. Freistil transporteert dit idee van de kiosk naar de 21e eeuw en creëert een plek van vitaliteit en rust, waarin op aangename wijze, zware en lichte, ronde en a-symmetrische, moderne en traditionele vormen met elkaar worden gecombineerd. Een nieuw spel van proporties. Design is van de Duitse ontwerper Sebastian Herkner.
Bijzonder en bijna provocerend is de hoge rug die naar boven taps toeloopt. Aan de binnenkant enigszins schuin en hij kan in twee hoogtes worden uitgevoerd. Een opulente sfeer ontstaat door toepassing van verschillende luxe rug kussens, groot en klein, kleurrijk of neutraal, uni of met een patroon. Verbazingwekkend genoeg zweeft deze gehele heerlijke geborgenheid lichtjes boven de vloer, naar keuze op metalen of houten pootjes.
Liefdevolle ambachtelijke details zoals de biesnaad in het ruggedeelte en de bewerkelijke naden bij de kussens zijn kenmerkend voor freistil 169.
